Why partner with us?

As a 501(c)(3) non-profit, Point of Pride provides direct healthcare and wellness support to trans individuals in need. Partnering with us supports this mission while equipping your team with valuable education, resources, and volunteer opportunities.

Our trainers are subject matter experts with deep knowledge and lived experience in trans inclusion, allyship, and cultural competency. Together, we’ll craft an impactful experience that meets your team’s goals.

Our approach

Our approach to events or trainings is highly collaborative. First, we’ll explore opportunities and identify your team’s goals or areas of focus. Then, we’ll customize a single presentation or series of presentations. Examples of our most popular topics include:

  • LGBTQ+ 101: Terminology, history, and foundational concepts.
  • Trans Experiences: Navigating employment, healthcare, and daily life.
  • Developing Allyship: Practical strategies to support LGBTQ+ individuals.
  • Employment Equity: Building workplaces that attract and retain LGBTQ+ talent.

Participants will walk away with new ways to think and communicate about LGBTQ+ topics, and actionable guidance on how to create a more inclusive and emotionally safe environment.

"The training was thoughtfully structured, with real-world examples and practical language that I can use to initiate meaningful conversations and advocate for inclusivity. I feel more confident and equipped to support my transgender colleagues and contribute to a more inclusive workplace."

“The session provided us with comprehensive information, allowing us to develop a more nuanced understanding of the experiences and needs of our trans and LGBTQ+ colleagues. We left feeling empowered to make positive changes within our communities.”

Interactive opportunities

Participants can ask questions and engage directly with our trainers, exploring topics in a supportive, judgment-free environment.

For organizations looking to create an even more hands-on experience, we offer an optional letter-writing volunteer activation. Participants write heartfelt notes to trans youth and adults, offering words of encouragement and solidarity. Whether in-person, remote, or hybrid, these sessions often include music, storytelling, and community bonding, creating a unique space for creativity and connection.

"We received fantastic feedback from participants who loved taking a small break in their workday to write letters, engaging in something creative that has a huge impact on others."

"Many team members shared how the series of sessions helped them connect with and better understand a community they previously knew little about. The card-writing activity was a heartfelt way to get involved, bringing our hybrid team together in a creative and accessible way.
