2023–2025 and beyond
Our multi-year plan
In March 2023, Mercury Stardust's Annual Stream-a-Thon for Trans Health raised an historic $2.2 million in support of Point of Pride’s mission—an unprecedented show of generosity that transformed Point of Pride’s ability to serve our community practically overnight.
With such a sudden influx of support, we knew we had a deep responsibility to steward these funds wisely, ensuring they would have the greatest possible impact for trans folks seeking life-saving gender-affirming care. Recognizing the growing demand for support and the ongoing threats of anti-trans legislation, we developed a multi-year plan to distribute these funds equitably while ensuring the long-term sustainability of our programs.
Strengthening infrastructure
Until 2023, Point of Pride was an entirely volunteer-operated organization. With this growth, we have built essential infrastructure to better serve our recipients, provide more personalized support, and scale our impact.
As part of this commitment to responsible stewardship, we also conducted our first-ever annual independent audit in 2024 to ensure our operations meet the highest standards of integrity and transparency.
How we’re allocating funds
Funds raised through this annual event are disbursed over multiple years to ensure sustainability and continued access to care through the following core programs:
- Annual Trans Surgery Fund: Financial aid for surgery.
- HRT Access Fund: Financial aid for hormone therapy and related care.
- Electrolysis Support Fund: Financial aid for permanent hair removal services.
- Thrive Fund: Financial aid for a variety of gender-affirming care needs.
- Free Chest Binders & Femme Shapewear Program: Free gender-affirming garments to those who need them.
Financial aid recipients who have benefitted from these programs are highlighted on our recipient page. Look for the "Stream-a-Thon grantee" note on their profiles.
To date, Point of Pride has awarded $3,419,000 in financial aid and provided gender-affirming support to 27,000 people in all 50 states and around the world. Thank you for being part of this movement. Every dollar counts—every dollar changes lives.
