Scarlett's story

Scarlett (she/her) is 38-year-old refugee from Ukraine who is also a trans woman. Currently, she is dealing with housing insecurity and has neither a job nor the savings to pay for the removal of facial and neck hair, which causes her great distress. "I have to share, but it doesn't solve the problem," Scarlett shares. "People often mistake me for a man, which is scary." Scarlett is hopeful for more safety and less fear of discrimination following access to electrolysis.
