Kelli (she/her) is a proud trans woman, caregiver, and single mother whose life has always revolved around family. As a Pacific Islander, she holds the honored role of caring for her aging parents and her youngest sister. “My family is my priority,” she shares, “but I can no longer deny myself what I have always wanted.”
For Kelli, this surgery is decades in the making. At 11 years old, she discovered an article on surgery for trans women and made a promise to herself to have a procedure by 25. “This to me means the world.” Through all of life’s challenges, she has remained a passionate advocate for indigenous sovereignty, LGBTQIA2S+ rights, and the unhoused community. Now, she is finally taking a step toward affirming herself in the same way she has always affirmed others.
