After facing harassment and unsafe conditions at her job, Chloe had to leave her position, and with her wife unemployed, finances are extremely tight. She has managed to cover initial expenses like her court name change and driver's license, but further documentation fees and travel costs remain out of reach.
Securing her Argentine citizenship would open the door for Chloe to access affordable gender-affirming surgeries in Argentina, significantly reducing barriers to her transition. As Chloe explains, "Having dual citizenship means safety and security, now and in the future. It’s a critical lifeline for my health and my family's well-being."
Beyond healthcare, obtaining citizenship would allow Chloe to reconnect with loved ones who cannot legally return to the U.S. due to immigration barriers. "I'm estranged from family members who can't return here," Chloe shares, "and citizenship would finally give me the chance to see them again." This support means not just a safer future, but the opportunity to rebuild meaningful family connections.
