Response to Past Statements Made by Mercury Stardust

At Point of Pride, we are dedicated to fostering an environment of respect, safety, inclusion, and dignity for all individuals.
Recently, allegations of inappropriate comments and behavior have come to light involving Mercury Stardust (she/her), a supporter, donor, and community advocate with whom we have collaborated. These allegations include past audio recordings that reflect views and attitudes inconsistent with the values of respect, empowerment, and community that we uphold at Point of Pride.
It is crucial to clarify that the past views expressed by Mercury do not align with our organization’s principles.
Over the last three years, the Mercury Stardust we’ve collaborated with has demonstrated a commitment to supporting trans people through fundraising, advocacy, and community care. We believe in people’s capacity to grow, evolve, and align their actions with more inclusive principles, while also rejecting any past harmful rhetoric or behaviors that contradict our values.
Thank you for your understanding as we continue our mission to expand access to healthcare, while ensuring safe, affirming spaces for all members of our community.

Point of Pride's mission is help trans youth and adults access necessary, life-saving health and wellness services. To date, Point of Pride has awarded $2,750,000 in financial aid and provided gender-affirming support to 22,000 people in all 50 states and around the world.
