In the Face of Election Results, We Stand Together
November 6, 2024
Today is a hard day. Last night’s election results have brought a wave of despair and fear for many, especially for trans and gender-diverse individuals who are already among the most marginalized in our country. The profound impacts on our community are clear, and we recognize the grief and pain this change brings.
In a world that doesn’t always support us, we support one another. For those of us in regions already experiencing the brunt of anti-trans legislation and discrimination, we understand the resilience that hard times like these demand. Our trans ancestors have shown us what resistance, community care, and collective action look like. Today, we honor them by drawing on their strength and courage.
The fight for justice is timeless. We will never stop showing up for one another, even when the path ahead feels more challenging. We keep going because we must. Our commitment to the belief that trans people deserve dignity, care, and the freedom to live authentically is unwavering, and it is grounded in the incredible power of our shared empathy and resolve.
Today is a hard day. Allow yourself to feel what you need to feel. Take time to process and honor your emotions. And when you're ready, join us. Connect, speak out, organize, donate, and continue to show up—for justice, for each other, and for the love that sustains us.
