Point of Pride Welcomes Jeff Main as Executive Director

Point of Pride is excited to announce that co-founder and long-serving Board Secretary, Jeff Main (he/him), has been appointed as the organization’s Executive Director. Jeff brings a wealth of leadership experience, having played a pivotal role in the growth and success of Point of Pride from its inception. As Executive Director, Jeff will lead the organization’s strategic direction, oversee programs and advocacy efforts, and strengthen relationships with both the community and supporters.

“When we founded Point of Pride, we only dreamed it would grow to where it is today, to be able to help the tens of thousands of people we’ve helped," Jeff shared. "Our community and our allies are incredibly powerful, and we’ve demonstrated that collectively, month over month and year over year, in our support of one another, our resilience, and our perseverance.”

Jeff’s dedication to the transgender and gender-diverse community has been instrumental in shaping Point of Pride’s programs. His leadership will now be focused on expanding Point of Pride’s impact as the largest direct-service organizations for trans individuals in the world.

“Every single person is important: every person who is vulnerable and can’t access the life-saving care they need, and every one of us who takes action to support them,” Jeff emphasized. “There’s never been a more critical time for us all to do this work, and I’m truly honored to be able to dedicate myself to the cause full-time after leading the organization as a volunteer for all these years.”

For the first seven years of its existence, Point of Pride was entirely volunteer-run, growing into a global organization that has provided life-saving resources to tens of thousands of individuals. Jeff’s transition to a full-time role, alongside Tyler Rodriguez earlier this year, marks the addition of Point of Pride’s second full-time staff member in 2023, a milestone in the organization’s ongoing mission to support more individuals than ever before.

Point of Pride's mission is help trans youth and adults access necessary, life-saving health and wellness services. To date, Point of Pride has awarded $2,220,000 in financial aid and provided gender-affirming support to 22,000 people in all 50 states and around the world.
