Point of Pride Welcomes Aydian Dowling as Engagement and Advocacy Lead

Point of Pride is excited to announce the appointment of Aydian Dowling as the organization’s new Engagement and Advocacy Lead. Aydian, an activist, entrepreneur, and speaker since 2009, is also a co-founder of Point of Pride and has spent the past seven years guiding its growth as former Board President.

In this new role, Aydian will manage relationships with donors and partners, lead key fundraising events, and contribute to the organization's growing diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging (DEIB) initiatives. His focus will be on strengthening communication and strategic vision, while ensuring Point of Pride’s mission remains at the forefront of all efforts.

“There’s never been a more pivotal moment to immerse ourselves in this mission,” Aydian shared. “It’s a profound privilege for me to fully commit to this endeavor after years of volunteering at the helm.”

Since its founding in 2016, Point of Pride has evolved from a volunteer-run organization to one of the world’s leading nonprofits dedicated to serving the transgender and gender-diverse community. This year, as the organization supports more individuals than ever before, Aydian’s appointment marks an important step in continuing to expand its impact.

As Point of Pride’s third full-time staff member, Aydian will join a team of dedicated volunteers and supporters who remain the backbone of the organization’s mission.

Point of Pride's mission is help trans youth and adults access necessary, life-saving health and wellness services. To date, Point of Pride has awarded $2,220,000 in financial aid and provided gender-affirming support to 22,000 people in all 50 states and around the world.
