Point of Pride Announces 2022 HRT Access Fund Recipients

Point of Pride is excited to announce the recipients of the 2022 HRT Access Fund. This program, in partnership with Plume, provides access to gender-affirming hormone therapy for trans individuals who cannot afford or safely obtain this care. Recipients will receive a full year of hormone therapy, including lab work and prescription drug coverage, at no cost.
Impact of the 2022 HRT Access Fund:
- 46 recipients were awarded access to life-saving healthcare
- 44% of recipients are youth under 24
- 52% are people of color
- 70% have experienced homelessness or housing insecurity
- 46% are living with a disability or chronic illness
Many of the recipients live in areas where finding trans-affirming healthcare providers is a challenge, making this support even more crucial.
“We are proud to help these individuals access the healthcare they deserve, especially those facing barriers in their communities,” said Tyler Rodriguez, Program Manager at Point of Pride. “This program continues to provide life-changing care to those who need it most.”
Point of Pride's mission is help trans youth and adults access necessary, life-saving health and wellness services. To date, Point of Pride has awarded $2,750,000 in financial aid and provided gender-affirming support to 22,000 people in all 50 states and around the world.
