Point of Pride Announces 2021 HRT Access Fund Recipients

Point of Pride is proud to announce the recipients of the 2021 HRT Access Fund, a unique program providing life-changing gender-affirming hormone therapy to trans individuals who cannot afford or safely access this care. In partnership with Plume, the fund covers the full cost of hormone therapy, lab work, and prescription medications for recipients for an entire year.
6 recipients now have access to life-changing healthcare for an entire year at no expense to them, with complete lab work coverage and prescription drug coverage included.
“The process of reviewing these applications and selecting recipients is always incredibly difficult,” said Jeff Main, Board Secretary and co-founder of Point of Pride. “Every applicant is so deserving of the care they need, but our limited funding means we can only support a small portion of them. We are grateful to be able to help those we can and are committed to expanding this program to reach even more people in the future.”
Point of Pride's mission is help trans youth and adults access necessary, life-saving health and wellness services. To date, Point of Pride has awarded $2,750,000 in financial aid and provided gender-affirming support to 22,000 people in all 50 states and around the world.
