Point of Pride Awards $60,600 to 2019 Trans Surgery Fund Recipients

March 13, 2019

Point of Pride is excited to announce that a total of $60,600 in financial assistance has been awarded to recipients through the 2019 Annual Trans Surgery Fund. This funding will help 8 trans individuals cover their gender-affirming surgery expenses, providing them with critical care they might not otherwise be able to access.

“We are so grateful for the generous support of our donors, sponsors, and volunteers who made this possible,” said Jeff Main, Executive Director of Point of Pride. “These grants go to individuals who desperately need this care but are unable to access it without help. Thanks to this program, they are one step closer to living as their authentic selves.”

Due to overwhelming demand, Point of Pride continues to work with finalists throughout the year to connect more people with the financial support they need. Additional recipients for the 2019 cycle may be announced later this year.
