Point of Pride Awards $60,600 to 2019 Trans Surgery Fund Recipients

Point of Pride is thrilled to announce that $23,000 in financial assistance has been awarded to four recipients through the 2018 Annual Trans Surgery Fund. This funding will help 4 individuals cover the cost of their gender-affirming surgeries, enabling them to access the care they urgently need.
In addition to these recipients, Point of Pride will provide ongoing support to Alejandro and Izaac, finalists who will receive assistance with navigating insurance, fundraising, and other resources as they work toward accessing the care they need.

Point of Pride's mission is help trans youth and adults access necessary, life-saving health and wellness services. To date, Point of Pride has awarded $2,750,000 in financial aid and provided gender-affirming support to 22,000 people in all 50 states and around the world.
