Gender-affirming garments

Point of Pride discreetly mails gender-affirming chest binders and femme shapewear garments to trans and gender-diverse people who cannot afford or otherwise access them.

  • We accept applications on a rolling basis; your client may apply at any time.
  • Requests are added to our waiting list and fulfilled first-come, first-served. (We average 60 new requests every single day, and are working hard to meet the need and reduce wait times. Our status dashboard shows what requests we are currently fulfilling.)
  • Shipping is free and included. If your client is dealing with housing insecurity, an unsafe living situation, or another situation, we can ship their package to a trusted loved one, friend, counselor, therapist, etc. You can help your client complete the application form and/or instruct your client to use your mailing address.
  • If multiple clients will use your mailing address for their requests, please contact us so we can make note. Thank you!

Financial aid

Point of Pride provides funding towards surgery, hormone replacement therapy, and permanent hair removal services. In June 2024, we launched a new program to cover other types of gender-affirming care outside these existing programs.

  • Each program has its own requirements, application timelines, and grant award totals.
  • Given the volume of applications we receive, recipient selection is very competitive. We are only able to fund between 1-15% of applicants, depending on the program.
  • Many of our applicants choose to name a therapist, counselor, social worker, or other professional in their lives to act as a liaison, translator, or support person. If your client names you as their support person, you will be CC'd on all email notifications regarding your application status. (Access can be revoked at any time by the applicant by contacting Point of Pride.)

Get involved with Point of Pride

Make a life-changing difference for trans folks in your local community and beyond.

1. Collect new & gently-used chest binders

Print and display this collection sign (8.5x11") at your community center, office, or event to collect new/gently-used chest binders on behalf of Point of Pride.

We accept all sizes, styles, colors, and conditions of binders and sports bras. Once completed, you can send us the garments in a flat-rate shipping box, and we'll rehome them to trans folks around the country. Learn more about chest binder donation or contact us for questions.

2. Host letter-writing at your space

You and your constituents can create affirming handwritten notes for trans youth and adults.

  • You can set up a letter-writing station with supplies to be present in your space for a period of time. This allows folks to drop-by as they like and write a card or two.
  • Or, you can schedule an event with a start and end time, in which folks can write cards with other participants. Many professionals pair this with a speaker or facilitator who shares some information on LGBTQ+ issues and topics. (Point of Pride offers speaking events and DEI trainings; contact us to learn more!)

3. Make a donation or become a sponsor

Your donations allow us to continue to provide services to trans folks, and to develop new programs to support the changing needs of our community. Donate now

We partner with organizations and businesses of every size. Sponsorships can range from one-time or annual donations, to fundraising or volunteer opportunities for your company’s employees, to gender-focused DEI trainings. Sponsors receive grateful recognition on social media, in our blog and email newsletters, and in our annual report. Learn more by contacting us
