Point of Pride to host first-ever LGBTQ space at Skid Row Carnival of Love!
Point of Pride is excited to host the first-ever LGBTQ support tent at the Skid Row Carnival of Love in Los Angeles on January 27, 2018!
The Skid Row Carnival of Love is an initiative founded by Justin Baldoni in 2015. This annual event works to build community by providing resources and love to the oftentimes forgotten and overlooked homeless population of Los Angeles’ Skid Row.
This amazing event benefits thousands of people dealing with homelessness. Healthcare, career opportunities, education, legal and housing services, as well as haircuts, feet washing, fun and games, donations, food, and great friends help to transform Skid Row into a world of sincere connection, love, and hope.
Point of Pride Board President Aydian Dowling and volunteers will be on hand to offer social support to all attendees and to distribute free chest binders, tucking undergarments, and breast form prosthetics to transgender folks who cannot otherwise afford or obtain them. It’ll be a relaxed and inclusive space where folks can be themselves and connect with other LGBTQ people.
We’ve also partnered with the Los Angeles LGBT Center, who will be providing free sex education.
Connect with us on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram to see updates and photos from the event!
