Yesterday on August 10, Eugene Springfield celebrated “Pride in the Park,” their largest pride event yet and first-ever pride march. The Point of Pride team had a great time meeting folks and celebrating our beautiful community, and we’re already looking forward to next year.
We gave away 70+ free chest binders to trans folks who could not otherwise afford or safely obtain them, many of which went to folks who have never owned a binder before! We also donated 25 packers and prosthetics and 20 packages of TransTape to folks in need of them.
Thanks to generous donors, we raised $250+ to cover the cost of shipping free chest binders to folks in Oregon. It was moving to see our community members and allies so eager to help neighbors in need!
